On July 7, 2021, Our director Amini Kajunju interviewed Dr. John Nkengasong, Director of the Africa CDC. His career in public health includes serving in senior roles at the World Health Organization (WHO) and here in the United States at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). We have been particularly impressed with his work to address the impact of COVID-19 on the African continent in general, and in the area of education in particular. His amazing work in Africa, and many other interesting things about Dr. Nkengasong’s work were discussed in this insightful interview.
