Miss SHOBOYEJO Oluwakemi Elisabeth
IUGB CLASS OF 2018
When I came to IUGB, my goals were to learn, grow and build myself to become a professional and educated business woman, a woman of influence. My stay at IUGB was very fruitful and brought a lot to my education and life. IUGB taught me how to target excellence, how to think critically and dream big. Today, I am proud to say that I succeeded. Not only did I acquire skills and qualities, but I also made new friends who have become like a second family.
Taking part in clubs and extracurricular activities at IUGB has greatly contributed to my education and self-development. I was an active member of many clubs such as the business club, the speech club, the science club, the religious club, ISAD, the SGA to name a few. In these clubs, I demonstrated hard work and commitment. In September 2016, I was appointed vice President of the Business Club. Furthermore, I participated in many competitions on campus where I came out most of the time winner. Examples of competitions I participated in are: Great debaters in fall 2014, the entrepreneurship competition in spring 2017 and the political simulation in spring 2018.
The journey has not been easy but through hard work and determination, I was able to achieve my college goals and I am now ready to face the corporate world. I thank the almighty GOD for this journey, and my faculties, advisors for their remarkable support. I dedicate this degree to my family, friends and advisors.
when you give to the IUGB Foundation, you’re changing the world one student at a time.
