Julie Reimer-Beda is the current Director of University Preparatory Program at IUGB. She has taught English in such diverse countries as Japan, Latvia, Puerto Rico, Bulgaria, and Guinea. She has a masters in TESL from Inter American University in Puerto Rico, and a bachelors in International Studies from the University of Washington, Seattle. She has been a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer, an English Language Fellow for the U.S. Department of State, and a member of the IFESH Teachers for Africa Program. Her teaching and research interests are focused on English for Academic Purposes, especially academic writing and oral communication. She has presented at national IATEFL conferences in Latvia, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Serbia, and at the CI-ELT conference in Cote d’Ivoire.
