Denise Berry joined The IUGB Foundation after over 20 years in public health administration and international humanitarian relief fundraising. Denise previously worked with CARE as a Planned Gift Officer. She also worked at other international organizations with strong ties to Francophone West Africa such as The Carter Presidential Center (Liaison Officer) and The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Editorial Assistant). Her combined experiences gave her extensive insights into the most important health, governmental, agricultural and societal issues in Francophone Africa.
Denise tells the story of IUGB’s success to those with a passion for the best in higher education. She works with corporate, educational and nonprofit organizations to develop strong partnerships in the United States. She is the Foundation point person for IUGB’s board and advisory board members. Denise is also the IUGB Atlanta alumni contact point.
She holds a Bachelors Degree from the University of Maryland European Division and received her degree while living and working in southeast Germany. During her time living in Germany and in the Netherlands she taught English as a Second Language at the International School of Amsterdam and German classes at the Department of Defense School at Ramstein Air Force Base.
