Chucks Kalu is an Associate Professor of Marketing at the International University of Grand Bassam School of Business and Social Science. He received his Ph.D. in Business Administration in 2004 from Southwest University, Louisiana. He also holds a Graduate Certificate in Strategic Management and Leadership from Cornell University, Ithaca, New York, USA. Prior to joining the IUGB in 2017, he held an appointment as the General Manager of Bata Shoe Manufacturing Company in Cote d’Ivoire. Prior to that he served as a Lecturer 1 the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria and as an Adjunct Professor at Sojourner Douglass College, Baltimore, Maryland.

Dr. Kalu is a seasoned Marketing and Management Analyst with over twenty years of extensive experience handling various middle and senior level positions in Sales, Marketing and Management with companies in the United States. He has also worked with non-governmental agencies dealing with youth with behavioral and emotional disabilities in schools in Baltimore, Maryland. USA. He is a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Commerce London and Member of the American Marketing Association and American Management Association. He is also a Member of the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management, London.

His research interests include the effects of Globalization on Africa; Influence of Distributed Leadership on Organizational Commitment; Effects of Strategic Focus on Organizational Sustainability; Customer Relationship Management and Success of SME’s in Nigeria.
