Clark Atlanta University and the IUGB, in a spirit of mutual trust and focusing on the development of their institutions, have mutually expressed a desire to collaborate with each other for the enhancement of their institutional activities and programs and explore opportunities to collaborate in areas that would be beneficial to each institution.
The partnership will consist of the following activities:
- Exchange of academic staff and student
- Interdisciplinary “Leadership in Global Communities” Continuing Education Credential Program to be delivered online for multiple audiences including undergraduate students, young professionals, career changers, and youth. Consider faculty development for teachers at secondary and post-secondary level – online teaching; traditional pedagogy; instructional design.
- Collaborative research projects in disciplines including but not limited to STEM, Business, Education, and Public Administration.
- Grant funding
Cargill has been an IUGB Invest for Success Scholarship Partner since the Foundation’s 2014 Inaugural Launch. Cargill also provides IUGB students and graduates with intern/work opportunities.
General Confederation of Enterprises of Côte d’Ivoire (CGECI) The CGECI is an Invest for Success Scholarship campaign supporter. CGECI is a valuable bridge to IUGB as a unifying body for all private sector actors and a strong promoter of entrepreneurship within Cote d’Ivoire.
Ethiopian Airlines has provided free round-trip tickets for IUGB student/faculty to Montclair State University’s 2018 Leaders of the World Conference and provided free airfare to one graduate at IUGB’s 2018 Graduation Ceremony. In 2019, Ethiopian Airlines and IUGB and its Foundation signed a corporate discount agreement. Ethiopia Airlines is committed to affordable and excellent aviation services for its customers.
IBM is partnering with IUGB to begin its Skills Academy program by offering courses and subsequently certifications (for faculty and students alike) in Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, and others.
Global Giving granted the IUGB Foundation permanent partnership status after we successfully completed its September 2018 Accelerator. This international giving platform has boosted the Foundation’s domestic and international visibility, to fund a STEM scholarship for a rural Ivoirian woman at IUGB, and resulted in free social media classes and possibilities for mentoring other small charities. Mondelez International Cocoa Life has partnered with IUGB for our students to work on urban and rural projects with this global brand in Abidjan. Cocoa is one of Cote’d’Ivoire’s main export and an important source of economic development.
Students and graduates alike can apply for internship positions to increase their skills in research, public policy, data science, IT, M&E and community development. Part of Cocoa Life’s mission is to empower the men, women and youth within cocoa communities to lead their own development and improve their livelihoods through entrepreneurship.
