Dr. Aurelie Akossi
The most inspiring aspect of working for the IUGB Foundation and IUGB is watching the individual journeys of our IUGB students and alumni. All exemplify today’s non-linear, flexible and adaptive style of education.
They do not limit themselves to finite areas of study or fixed coordinates on the map. This month, their progress exhibits the entire range of educational possibilities.

Jean Marcien C. Kablansi
A former IUGB student is now a Ph.D recipient at Georgia State University (GSU). Aurelie Akossi, Ph.D., positively conducted her dissertation defense June 21, 2019 in comparison of various discretization algorithms for stable estimation of disease parameters and forecasting in epidemiology. Please read her story in this newsletter.

Saraka Cyrielle Kouame
We have two master’s degree recipients from GSU in actuarial science which are Jean Marcien C. Kablansi and Saraka Cyrielle Kouame. We are proud to announce that Ms. Kouame and Mohamed Traore received a master’s in quantitative risk analysis & management, also at GSU.

Mohamed Traore
Another IUGB alumna, Anatou Soumahoro, graduated from Mercer University Stetson School of Business and Economics in Macon, Georgia with a Master of Science in business analytics. She is currently a senior underwriting specialist at New York Life Insurance Company.

Anatou Soumahoro
IUGB alumni are fielding job and educational offers, working, and making life plans. Look out world, here come the brightest and most well-prepared young men and women you have ever seen, and they are ready to solve some of the toughest challenges you can put before them. Saraka’s testimonial below echoes this determination:
But the most important thing I learned was how to be pro-active and a leader anywhere I am. Looking at the future, I hope to help transform people’s lives for the better and come back to Ivory Coast, implement and be the change I want to see.
